More than just a draft animal, Laranjo was a central figure in farm life: he performed the most demanding tasks and, due to his robustness and reliability, was frequently requested by the neighbors, becoming a true \u201ccommunity agricultural machine\u201d. This legacy reflects the spirit of Quinta do Laranjo: respect for roots, valuing people, and preserving the traditions of the Douro region.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the wine-producing village of Adorigo, in the municipality of Tabua\u00e7o \u2014 part of the Alto Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001 \u2014 the Quinta is situated in the heart of the oldest demarcated wine region in the world.
